The Blaston and District Agricultural Show Society launched the Blaston Bursary in February 2025, with the view to support people working within agriculture and the associated rural industries to attend either life changing courses and events or to obtain a qualification. The Blaston Bursary will offer successful applicants the opportunity to develop their careers, skills and networks both personally and professionally, creating future leaders within the rural industry.
The Blaston Bursary will aim to build a network around its Scholars, offering more than just a funding opportunity. As part of the funding each Bursary beneficiary will be expected to mentor future Blaston Scholars, be invited to deliver talks on their learnings and experiences, and have the chance to feed into the wider Society.
For more information, please download and take a look at our Blaston Bursary Programme document, which explains the commitment required and selection criteria. The Application Form to apply for the 2026 Blaston Bursary will be available to download from this page from 1st December 2025.
